HELP MITIGATE "DRIVER DISTRACTION". DRIVE WITH BOTH HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL.
Our "Hands-Free Phone Zone" pledge contains no options, just: " I will not text while driving. I will keep both hands on the steering wheel & my eyes on the road ahead at all times unless necessary to maintain proper, safe control of my vehicle. I will always use "Hands-Free" calling when I need to speak on my phone."
IN OTHER WORDS ... "YOU DON'T HAVE TO TURN IT OFF, JUST PUT IT DOWN AND LEAVE IT DOWN"
"BOTH HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL TIMES WILL ALWAYS BE SAFER THAN STEERING WITH ONE HAND"

The Statement by the National Safety Council (NSC):
"Hands-free devices offer no safety benefit when driving."
is a gross distortion of established technical facts, and is an attempt to thwart the early adoption of advanced technologies specifically designed to improve driver safety, convenience and comfort.
We support all efforts to create a safer driving experience for all through sound concepts such as "hands-free" phone devices.
This is the BlueAnt S-4 offering 100% "Hands-Free" incoming and outgoing phone calls. Try it! We think you'll like it! ONLY $100.00
What is a No Phone Zone? The basic premise is to make your vehicle a "zone" free of cellular communications technology while you are driving. It is worthy of note that the company behind this scheme is a for profit company offering call blocking services.
But ... a "No Phone Zone" may actually endanger your life by encouraging you to turn off your phone and miss traffic, weather, general safety, AMBER Alerts and more.
Imagine that there is "black ice" ahead ... and you don't get the message because you are going along with "No Phone Zone".
How about missing that all important AMBER Alert ... and the kidnapper's car is right in front of YOU!
Even worse, imagine the rear-end collisions on the expressway during rush hour when the cars parked by "yackers" get hit!
Both Hands On The Steering Wheel Is My Zone Of Choice. Safe driving starts with safe steering. Justkeeping two simple, intuitive rules in mind, no matter how dangerous driving can be, it is always safer to steer a car with both hands while keeping your eyes on the road.
Often the simplest solution is the best solution. In this case this is especially true as common sense should be your guide to personal safety. Simply put, it is not safe to hold a cigarette when driving. It is not safe to hold a snack when driving. It is not safe to hold the newspaper when driving. It is not safe to hold your partners hand when driving. And it is not safe to hold a cell phone and talk when driving.
It is always safer to keep both hands on the steering wheel.
